RULES WORKSHOPS FOR CLUBS
During the 2014 golf season, The Golf Association of Michigan is offering to all Michigan golf clubs and courses the opportunity to have a workshop on the Rules of Golf at your facility. 2014 is a Rules change year, and all golfers will want to know how the new changes will affect them. The program can be tailored to your club’s needs – from basic relief options to more sophisticated Decisions based on the Rules.

The sessions can run from one hour to two hours, including time for questions and answers. The instructor uses a Rules rug to demonstrate Rules situations, rather than a power point program. It is very visual and interactive. The seminars can be scheduled during the day or in the evening, whichever is convenient for your club. We ask that you have between twenty and fifty participants.

The instructor for this program is Jeanne Myers, GAM Director of Course Rating. Jeanne has been a Rules official for 24 years for the GAM, the USGA, and the Michigan Section of the PGA. She has worked nearly 100 national championships including three U.S. Opens and fifteen U.S Women’s Opens

This program is being offered free of charge for sites hosting a Championship for the GAM in 2014. The fee for other member clubs is $100. The fee for non-member clubs is $200.

To schedule, please call the GAM office at 248-478-9242, Ext. 21 and speak with Jeanne Myers or e-mail her at jmyers@gam.org.  After May 1, call Jeanne at 248-890-0643.
