Championship Player Memo
This correspondence will verify your entry into the 28th GAM Net Team Championship at Oak Pointe Country Club – Championship Course on Monday, July 30.  


TOURNAMENT DATE: Monday, July 30 

TEE TIME: You should arrive at your assigned cart at least fifteen (15) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time for instructions from the starter. It will be an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.

DIRECTIONS: Take I-96 to exit 147 (Spencer). Take Spencer through Brighton to Club House Drive.

PRACTICE ROUNDS: Please contact the golf shop for rates and availability, (810) 227-9194.  Contestants must call in advance to reserve a tee time and identify themselves as part of GAM Net Team Championship.

GPS AND RANGE FINDERS: In this competition, if a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his/her play, AND USES IT FOR THOSE OTHER CONDITIONS the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is TWO STROKES for the first breach of this rule and DISQUALIFICATION for a subsequent breach during the stipulated round.

FOOD:   A complimentary lunch will be provided at the club on both days of the Championship.

CADDIES/CARTS: All players are required to ride. Caddies are not allowed.  Only competitors may ride in the players’ carts. Spectator carts are only permitted if a request, accompanied by a doctor’s note confirming the spectator’s need for a cart, is submitted to the GAM at least two days prior to the competition. PRACTICE RANGE: Opens one hour prior to the shotgun on the day of the competition and is complimentary for players on the day of the competition, prior to play only. 

PLAYOFF: A tie for the Championship only will be determined by a sudden-death playoff.  Ties for runner-up and third place will be broken by scorecard playoff.

WITHDRAWAL:  If you have to withdraw, please notify the GAM by e-mailing If you must withdraw within 24 hours of the competition, please contact the GAM office at (248) 478-9242 ext. 124. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions.
