This correspondence will verify your entry into the 4th GAM Super Senior Championship at Saginaw Country Club on Monday, July 30 and Tuesday, July 31, 2018.  


TOURNAMENT DATE: Monday-Tuesday, July 30-31 

SHOTGUN START:  Please be to your assigned cart fifteen (15) minutes prior to the start time for announcements. Monday's shotgun time is 1 p.m. Tuesday's shotgun time is 9 a.m.

SECOND-ROUND PAIRINGS:  Second-round pairings will be available via and via phone. A number will be posted on the scoreboard.

DIRECTIONS:  Take I-75 to Holland Ave. Go W off the exit. Holland Ave. will turn into M-46 (Gratiot Ave.), which will bring you to Saginaw CC. The club is about 6 miles west of I-75.

PRACTICE ROUND:  Please contact the golf shop for rates and availability, (989) 793-3461.  Contestants must call in advance to reserve a tee time and identify themselves as a GAM Super Senior Championship Contestant.  

GPS AND RANGE FINDERS: DMD's that measure distance only are allowed. In this competition, if a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his/her play, AND USES IT FOR THOSE OTHER CONDITIONS the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is TWO STROKES for the first breach of this rule and DISQUALIFICATION for a subsequent breach during the stipulated round.

FOOD:  There are complimentary luncheons provided for players before Monday afternoon’s shotgun start, and after Tuesday’s round.

DRESS CODE: Shirts with collars and sleeves are required; however women may wear collarless shirts with sleeves or sleeveless shirts with collars.  Neither tank tops, tee shirts, short shorts, gym shorts, cut-offs, bathing suits nor denim pants/shorts are permitted.  Players and caddies are expected to adhere to the dress code.  Those inappropriately attired may be asked to change clothes before being allowed access to the course.  The GAM will adhere to any more specific dress code required by a host facility.

CADDIES/CARTS:  Automotive transportation is mandatory in this championship. NOTE: Only competitors may ride in a players’ cart. A maximum of two (2) player carts per group. Spectator carts are only permitted if a request, accompanied by a doctor’s note confirming the spectator’s need for a cart, is submitted to the GAM at least two days prior to the competition. PRACTICE RANGE:  Complimentary for players on the day of the competition, prior to play only. The driving range will open one hour before the first tee time.

PLAYOFF:  In case of a tie for the championship in the Super Senior or Legends Division, a sudden-death playoff will begin immediately after all scores are posted. 

WITHDRAWAL:  If you have to withdraw, please notify the GAM by e-mailing If you must withdraw within 24 hours of the competition, please contact the GAM office at (248) 478-9242 ext. 124. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions.
