This correspondence will verify your entry into the 107th Michigan Amateur Qualifying at Kaufman Golf Course on Thursday, May 31, 2018.  


TEE TIME: You should arrive at your assigned tee at least ten (10) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time for instructions from the starter.

DIRECTIONS:  Take I-131 to 44th St. exit, and go west on 44th.St., 1 block to Clyde Park, then south 4 blocks to the course.

CLUB ADDRESS:  4807 Clyde Park, SW, Wyoming, MI 48509.

LODGING: Hampton Inn, 755 54th St., Wyoming (616) 261-5500.

PRACTICE ROUND:  Please contact the golf shop for rates and availability, (616) 538-5050.  Contestants must call in advance to reserve a tee time and identify themselves as Michigan Amateur contestants.

GPS & RANGE FINDERS: The following Rule applies to players and caddies. In this competition, if a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his/her play, AND USES IT FOR THOSE OTHER CONDITIONS the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is TWO STROKES for the first breach of this rule and DISQUALIFICATION for a subsequent breach during the stipulated round.

FOOD:  The clubhouse will have food available for purchase.

:  All players are required to walk. Contestants may carry their own bag or bring their own caddie. Caddies must also walk. Pull carts may be used if the host club allows them. Spectator carts are only permitted if a request, accompanied by a doctor’s note confirming the spectator’s need for a cart, is submitted to the GAM at least two days prior to the competition. PRACTICE RANGE:  Complimentary for players on the day of the competition, prior to play only. The driving range will open one hour prior to the first tee time. 

PLAYOFF:  In case of ties, there will be a playoff immediately following play for the final spot as well as the order for the two (2) alternate positions

WITHDRAWAL:  If you have to withdraw, please notify the GAM by e-mailing tournamententry@gam.org. If you must withdraw within 24 hours of the competition, please contact the GAM office at (248) 478-9242 ext. 124. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions.
