This correspondence will verify your entry for the Michigan Amateur Qualifying at Links of Novi (East/West) on Wednesday May 23, 2018.  

You should arrive at your assigned tee at least ten (10) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time for instructions from the starter.

TOURNAMENT DATE: Wednesday, May 23 

DIRECTIONS: 
From the East: Take I-696 West to I-96 West. Exit at Beck Rd and go South to 10 Mile Rd. Turn right (west) onto 10 Mile Rd and drive 1 1/4 miles to the Links of Novi entrance on the left (south). 
From the West:Take I-96 East, exit at Milford Rd and go South to 10 Mile Rd. Turn left (east) onto 10 Mile Rd and drive to the Links of Novi entrance on the right (south).

PRACTICE ROUND: Please contact the golf shop for rates and availability, (248) 380-9595.  Contestants must call in advance to reserve a tee time and identify themselves as Michigan Amateur contestants.  

GAM DRESS CODE: Shirts with collars and sleeves are required; however women may wear collarless shirts with sleeves or sleeveless shirts with collars.  Neither tank tops, tee shirts, short shorts, gym shorts, cut-offs, bathing suits nor denim pants/shorts are permitted.  Players and caddies are expected to adhere to the dress code.

FOOD: The clubhouse will have food available for purchase.

CADDIES/CARTS: All players are required to walk. Contestants may carry their own bag or bring their own caddie. Caddies must also walk. Pull carts may be used if the host club allows them. Spectator carts are only permitted if a request, accompanied by a doctor’s note confirming the spectator’s need for a cart, is submitted to the GAM at least two days prior to the competition. GPS AND RANGE FINDERS: In this competition, a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance ONLY. However, if during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g., gradient, wind-speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is two strokes on the first offense and disqualification on any subsequent offense, regardless of whether any such additional functions are actually used.

PRACTICE RANGE: Practice range is complementary for players prior to round only.  Driving range will open one hour before the first tee time.

PLAYOFF: In case of ties, there will be a playoff immediately following play for the final spot as well as the order for the two (2) alternate positions

WITHDRAWAL:  If you have to withdraw, please notify the GAM by e-mailing tournamententry@gam.org. If you must withdraw within 24 hours of the competition, please contact the GAM office at (248) 478-9242 ext. 124. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions.
