Championship Player Memo
INFORMATION

2nd ROUND PAIRINGS: Will be available via www.gam.org and via phone, a number will be posted on the scoreboard.

DIRECTIONS: Take US-23 to US-10 W (at fork take US-10 Business) to Eastman Road (Midland). Turn right on Eastman Road and go to St. Andrews. Turn right on St. Andrews and take to the club. The club entrance is on the left. Please note: If you are going north on I-75, the north-bound lanes on the Zilwaukee Bridge are closed. You will need to take the I-675 by-pass which puts you back on I-75/US 23 North, north of the bridge.

PRACTICE ROUND: Please contact the golf shop for rates and availability, (989) 832-3074. Contestants must call in advance to reserve a tee time and identify themselves as GAM Womens Mid-Amateur contestants.

GPS AND RANGE FINDERS: In this competition a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance ONLY. However, if, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g., gradient, wind-speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional functions are actually used.

GAM DRESS CODE: Shirts with collars and sleeves are required; however, women may wear collarless shirts with sleeves or sleeveless shirts with collars. Neither tank tops, tee shirts, short shorts, gym shorts, cut-offs, bathing suits nor denim pants/shorts are permitted. Players and caddies are expected to adhere to the dress code.

FOOD: A complimentary lunch buffet will be available each day in the clubhouse after each round.

CADDIES/CARTS: Players may walk during the stipulated round or use automotive transportation. Players are responsible for their own cart fees during the championship. Contestants may carry their own bag or bring their own caddie. Carts are not permitted for caddies or spectators. Pull carts are allowed if the club allows them.

PRACTICE RANGE: Complimentary for players on the day of the competition, prior to play only. Open 7:00 a.m.

PLAYOFF: A tie for the Championship only will be determined by a sudden-death playoff immediately after the final scores have been posted. All other ties will be decided by the card matching method recommended by the USGA. (Appendix I, paragraph 11c). It is the players responsibility to be ready to play when called to the tee.

PRIZES: Prizes will be awarded to the low gross and low net finishers in each flight. The overall low gross scorer will have her name engraved on the Jeanne L. Myers Trophy.

WITHDRAWAL: If you must withdraw, contact the GAM office at (248) 478-9242. If you call after business hours, please leave message on voice mail #24. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions.
