SUBJECT:97th MICHIGAN AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP, THE MOORS GOLF CLUB

Congratulations on qualifying for the 97th Michigan Amateur Championship, which will be played at The Moors Golf Club in Portage, MI, June 17-21, 2008. Please note the information below. You will receive a players packet with more information when you register either on Sunday, June 15 or Monday, June 16.

STARTING TIMES: Your stroke play tee times for Tuesday, June 17 and Wednesday, June 18 are enclosed. All contestants will start on the 1st and 10th holes and the playing order will be flipped for the second round. These tee times will not be changed for any reason. The GAM will not honor any requests for special times. Players need to be on their designated tee at least ten minutes prior to their start time.

PRACTICE ROUNDS: Contestants are entitled to two complimentary practice rounds on Sunday, June 15 and Monday, June 16 before the Championship. These days are set aside for players only. If a player violates this policy, he may lose his spot in the Championship. Players will be allowed to play any time subject to availability. Players must call in advance for tee times. If a player would like to play a practice round before June 15, he can do so at the reduced rate of $60, which includes a cart and range balls prior to the round. Practice on Sunday, June 15 will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Monday, June 16 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. You must call (269) 323-8873 to schedule your tee time. Tee times will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Any player who has played a practice round prior to those dates will be deemed to have played one of his practice rounds. If you do not have a full group, you will be paired with other players. The 10th tee must be cleared approximately 2 hours following closure of #1 tee on Sunday and Monday for maintenance purposes. Carts are not available on either June 15 or June 16. Players may carry their own bag during the practice round, bring their own caddie or hire a caddie from The Moors.

Note: In order to preserve the condition of the golf course, we request that players only play one ball and refrain from playing numerous approach shots or tee shots on par 3s during your practice rounds. Violation of this may result in forfeiture of your position in the field.
