Championship Player Memo
INFORMATION

DIRECTIONS: Take I-96 to the Beltline exit. Go north to Knapp Street – turn right. The club is 5 miles down on the left side.

CLUB ADDRESS: 7333 Knapp NE, Ada, MI 49301.

LODGING: Crown Plaza Hotel, Grand Rapids (616) 957-1770. Identify yourself as a Michigan Women’s Amateur contestant to receive a special rate when making reservations by June 18.

PRACTICE ROUND: Please contact Egypt Valley CC for availability. Call (616) 676-3989 and identify yourself as a Michigan Women’s Amateur competitor.
GAM DRESS CODE: Shirts with collars and sleeves are required; however women may wear collarless shirts with sleeves or sleeveless shirts with collars. Neither tank tops, tee shirts, short shorts, gym shorts, cut-offs, bathing suits nor denim pants/shorts are permitted. Players and caddies are expected to adhere to the dress code.

FOOD: The Clubhouse will have food available to purchase.

CADDIES/CARTS: All players are required to walk. Contestants may carry their own bag or bring their own caddie. Caddies must also walk. Carts are not permitted for caddies or spectators. Pull carts may be used if the club allows.

PRACTICE RANGE: Complimentary for players on the days of the competition, prior to play only. Range opens daily at 7:00 a.m.

WITHDRAWAL: If you must withdraw, contact the GAM office at (248) 478-9242. If you call after business hours, please leave message on voice mail #24. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions.

SWEET 16 DINNER: Players who reache the Sweet 16 (win one match on Thursday) are requested to attend the sweet sixteen dinner in their honor on Thursday July 12, 2007, at Egypt Valley CC in the ___________. The reception will start at 6:30 p.m. with dinner to follow at 7:30 p.m. All Michigan Woman Amateur Contestants and guests are welcome to attend and will be charged a fee of $20 per person. Any player who advances to the round of sixteen will be a guest of the GAM. Dressy attire!!

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS


STROKE PLAY - 36 hole qualifying to determine 32 players for match play.

Tuesday July 10 - First round, 18 holes, stroke play

Wednesday July 11 - Second round, 18 holes, stroke play. Should there be a tie for final qualifying spots, a sudden death playoff shall start immediately after all scores have been posted.

MATCH PLAY – USGA General numerical draw shall be used. The stipulated round shall be extended to as many holes as necessary for the match to be won.

Thursday July 12 Round of 32, 18 holes

Friday July 13 AM – Round of 16, 18 holes
PM – Round of 8, 18 holes

Saturday July 14 AM – Semifinal matches, 18 holes
PM – Final Match, 18 holes
