Championship Player Memo
INFORMATION

CHAMPIONSHIP YARDAGE: Available @ GAM.org, under Tournaments / GAM Championships / Net Championships / Net Amateur Championship – Course Setup.

DIRECTIONS: Take I-196 toward downtown Grand Rapids/Holland. Take exit 55 (I-196 West) onto Byron Rd. Bear right on US-31 N toward Muskegon. Turn left on New Holland St. Club will be on the left.

CLUB ADDRESS: 4600 Macatawa Legends Blvd., Holland, MI 49424

LODGING: Hampton Inn (616) 399-8500. You must make your reservation by August 31st, identify yourself as a Net Amateur competitor to receive a special room rate.

PRACTICE ROUND: Please contact the golf shop for rates and availability, (616) 212-2600. Contestants must call in advance to reserve a tee time and identify themselves as Michigan Net Amateur contestants.

GPS AND RANGE FINDERS: In this competition, a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance ONLY. However, if, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g., gradient, wind-speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional functions are actually used.

GAM DRESS CODE: Shirts with collars and sleeves are required; however women may wear collarless shirts with sleeves or sleeveless shirts with collars. Neither tank tops, tee shirts, short shorts, gym shorts, cut-offs, bathing suits nor denim pants/shorts are permitted. Players and caddies are expected to adhere to the dress code.

FOOD: There is a complimentary luncheon for players only following Monday’s round of golf. Guests may attend the luncheon for a fee. The clubhouse will also have food available for purchase.

CADDIES/CARTS: All players are required to ride and are responsible for the cart fee each day. ONLY COMPETITORS MAY RIDE IN A CART. Spectators are prohibited from riding. Caddies are not allowed in any GAM riding event.

PRACTICE RANGE: Complimentary for players on the day of the competition, prior to play only. Open 7:30 a.m.

PLAYOFF: In case of ties, there will be a three hole playoff (cumulative net) for the overall and division champions.

WITHDRAWAL: If you must withdraw, contact the GAM office at (248) 478-9242. If you call after business hours, please leave message on voice mail #24. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions.
