This correspondence will verify your entry for the Michigan Women’s Senior Amateur Championship on Monday June 4, 2006 through Thursday June 7, 2007.

Please note your starting time and starting tee assignment from the enclosed pairing sheets. You should arrive at your assigned tee at least ten (10) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time for instructions from the starter.

DIRECTIONS: Take I-75 N to exit 282 (M-32). Go West on M-32 to the club.

CLUB ADDRESS: M-32., Gaylord, MI 49735.

LODGING: Holiday Inn Express – 1-800-952-9584. Identify yourself as a Michigan Women’s Senior Amateur competitor to receive a special rate.
PRACTICE ROUND: Please contact Gaylord CC for availability. Call (231) 546-3376 and identify yourself as a Michigan Women’s Senior Amateur competitor. Please note: Practice rounds will be very limited on the Sunday before.
GPS AND RANGE FINDERS: In this competition, a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance ONLY. However, if, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measureing device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g., gradient, wind-speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional functions are actually used.
GAM DRESS CODE: Shirts with collars and sleeves are required; however women may wear collarless shirts with sleeves or sleeveless shirts with collars. Neither tank tops, tee shirts, short shorts, gym shorts, cut-offs, bathing suits nor denim pants/shorts are permitted. Players and caddies are expected to adhere to the dress code.

FOOD: The Clubhouse will have food available to purchase.

CADDIES/CARTS: All players are required to take a cart. Only two carts per group. Caddies are not permitted during any phase of the Championship. Carts are not permitted for spectators.

PRACTICE RANGE: Complimentary for players on the days of the competition, prior to play only. Range opens daily at 7:00 a.m.

WITHDRAWAL: If you must withdraw, contact the GAM office at (248) 478-9242. If you call after business hours, please leave message on voice mail #24. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions.

DINNER: A complimentary dinner will be held for all tournament contestants on Monday, June 4th. Guests will be charged $20 and they need to notify the GAM staff by Monday morning if they plan on attending.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

STROKE PLAY - 18 hole qualifying to determine flights. The low 16 players will be placed into the Championship flight. The next lowest 8 players will be in A flight, the next 8 players will be in B flight.

MondayJune 4 - 18 holes, stroke play to determine flights. A complimentary dinner will be available for players only.

MATCH PLAY – USGA General numerical draw shall be used. The stipulated round shall be extended to as many holes as necessary for the match to be won.

Tuesday June 5 First round of match play for all flights.
Wednesday June 6 AM – Quarterfinal matches for Championship flight - semifinal matches for the other flights.
PM – Semifinal matches for Championship flight.
Thursday June 7 Final Matches for all flights.
