SUBJECT:4th Michigan Women’s Senior Amateur Championship

This correspondence will verify your entry for the Senior Women’s Michigan Amateur Championship on Monday July 11, 2005 through Friday July 15, 2005.

Please note your starting time and starting tee assignment from the enclosed pairing sheets. You should arrive at your assigned tee at least ten (10) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time for instructions from the starter.

INFORMATION

DIRECTIONS: Take US-23 to Geddes Rd. (exit 39). Go East on Geddes Rd. ¼ mile. The club is on the West side of Geddes Rd., past Dixboro Rd.

CLUB ADDRESS: 4875 Geddes Rd. Ann Arbor, MI 48105. (734) 998-7040.

LODGING: Comfort Inn (734) 973-6100, please indicate that you are with the Michigan Women’s Amateur to receive the special rate.
PRACTICE ROUND: Will NOT be available the weekend before the championship. Please contact Radrick Farms GC for availability. Call (734) 998-7040 and identify yourself as a Michigan Women’s Amateur competitor.
GAM DRESS CODE: Shirts with collars and sleeves are required; however women may wear collarless shirts with sleeves or sleeveless shirts with collars. Neither tank tops, tee shirts, short shorts, gym shorts, cut-offs, bathing suits nor denim pants/shorts are permitted. Players and caddies are expected to adhere to the dress code.

FOOD: The Clubhouse will have food available to purchase.

CADDIES/CARTS: All players are required to take a cart. Only two carts per group. Carts are not permitted for caddies or spectators.

PRACTICE RANGE: Complimentary for players on the days of the competition, prior to play only. Range opens daily at 7:00 a.m.

WITHDRAWAL: If you must withdraw, contact the GAM office at (248) 478-9242. If you call after business hours, please leave message on voice mail #24. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions.

ELITE EIGHT DINNER: Any player who reaches the Elite Eight (wins one match on Wednesday) is requested to attend the dinner for the “elite” eight on Wednesday July 13, 2005 at Washtenaw CC in the formal ballroom. The reception will start at 6:30 p.m. with dinner to follow at 7:30 p.m. Players are entitled to bring one complimentary guest. Any others who attend will be charged a fee of $35 per person. Dressy attire!!


SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION

STROKE PLAY - 36 hole qualifying to determine 32 players for match play.

Monday July 11 - First round, 18 holes, stroke play

Tuesday July 12 - Second round, 18 holes, stroke play. A tie for last place shall be decided immediately after completion of the second round by a hole-by-hole playoff.

MATCH PLAY – USGA General numerical draw shall be used. The stipulated round shall be extended to as many holes as necessary for the match to be won.

Wednesday July 13 - Round of 32, 18 holes

Thursday July 14 - AM – Round of 16, 18 holes
PM – Round of 8, 18 holes

Friday July 15 - AM – Semifinal matches, 18 holes
PM – Final Match, 18 holes

SENIOR DIVISION

STROKE PLAY - 36 hole qualifying to determine 16 players for match play.

MondayJuly 11 - First round, 18 holes, stroke play.
