This correspondence will verify your entry into the 16th Michigan Women’s Senior Amateur Championship at Verona Hills Golf Club on Monday and Tuesday, June 10-11, 2019.

TOURNAMENT DATE: Monday, June 10 – Tuesday, June 11
TEE TIME: You should arrive at your assigned tee at least ten (10) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time for instructions from the starter. For a shotgun start, please be to your assigned cart 15 minutes before the starting time for announcements.
DIRECTIONS: Take M-53 to Bad Axe (where M-53 becomes M-142). Continue on M-142 to Sand Beach Road. Course is on North side of road.
CLUB ADDRESS: 3175 Sand Beach Road, Bad Axe, MI 48413.
LODGING: A block of rooms has been reserved at the Holiday Inn Express Bad Axe (989.269.5293, 55 Rapson Lane West, Bad Axe, MI, 48413) The group name is Golf Association of Michigan.
PRACTICE ROUND: Please contact the golf shop for rates and availability, (989) 269-8132. Contestants must call in advance to reserve a tee time and identify themselves as Michigan Women’s Senior Amateur contestants.
Practice rounds will not be available in the afternoon on Sunday, June 9.
GPS AND RANGE FINDERS: In this competition, if a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his/her play, AND USES IT FOR THOSE OTHER CONDITIONS the player is in breach of Rule 4.3, for which the penalty is TWO STROKES for the first breach of this rule and DISQUALIFICATION for a subsequent breach during the stipulated round.
GAM DRESS CODE: Shirts with collars and sleeves are required; however women may wear collarless shirts with sleeves or sleeveless shirts with collars. Neither tank tops, tee shirts, short shorts, gym shorts, cut-offs, bathing suits nor denim pants/shorts are permitted. Players are expected to adhere to the dress code.
FOOD: Complimentary lunch will be served for players only on both days.
CADDIES/CARTS: Automotive transportation is mandatory in this championship. NOTE: Only competitors may ride in the players’ carts. Caddies are not allowed. Spectator carts are only permitted if a request, accompanied by a doctor’s note confirming the spectator’s need for a cart, is submitted to the GAM at least two days prior to the competition. PRACTICE RANGE: Complimentary for players on the days of the competition, prior to play only. The driving range opens daily one hour before the first tee time.
WITHDRAWAL: If you have to withdraw, please notify the GAM by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org. If you must withdraw within 24 hours of the competition, please contact the GAM office at (248) 478-9242 ext. 124. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions. Refunds will be issued if the GAM office is notified prior to the close of entries for that competition. After the entry deadline, fees will be refunded only in the event of injury or illness (with a verified doctor's note). There is a $20 processing fee applied to all refunds. Please be aware that all competitors are expected to play in the stroke-play round, the two guaranteed matches, and a final match should a golfer advance that far. Injury and personal emergency are the only justified reasons for withdrawal prior to match-play elimination.

MATCH PLAY – Flights and seeding are based on your stroke-play gross score. The stipulated round shall be extended to as many holes as necessary for the match to be won.
