This correspondence will verify your entry into the 18th Michigan Net Amateur at Edgewood Country Club on Monday, August 26 and Tuesday, August 27, 2019.  


Monday, August 26 – Tuesday, August 27 

TEE TIME: You should arrive at your assigned tee at least ten (10) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time for instructions from the starter. In the event of a shotgun start, please be to your assigned cart 15 minutes prior to the starting time.

SECOND-ROUND PAIRINGS:  Will be available via and e-mailed to you.

DIRECTIONS:  Take I-275 to M-5 N to Pontiac Tr. Go E to Haggerty Rd. Go N until it dead ends at Richardson Rd. Turn L. Turn R on Union Lake Rd. Turn L on Commerce Rd.

PRACTICE ROUND:  Please contact the golf shop for rates and availability of practice rounds at Edgewood CC (248) 363-7111. Contestants must call in advance to reserve a tee time and identify themselves as Michigan Net Amateur contestants

GPS AND RANGE FINDERS: DMD's that measure distance only are allowed in this qualifier. In this competition, if a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his/her play, AND USES IT FOR THOSE OTHER CONDITIONS the player is in breach of Rule 4.3, for which the penalty is TWO STROKES for the first breach of this rule and DISQUALIFICATION for a subsequent breach during the stipulated round.

FOOD:  There is a complimentary luncheon for players only on both days of the tournament.  

CADDIES/CARTS:  Automotive transportation is mandatory in this championship. NOTE: Only competitors may ride in a cart. There will be no caddies allowed. A maximum of 2 carts per group. Spectator carts are only permitted if a request, accompanied by a doctor’s note confirming the spectator’s need for a cart, is submitted to the GAM at least two days prior to the competition. PRACTICE RANGE:  Complimentary for players on the day of the competition, prior to play only. The driving range will open one hour before the first tee time.

PLAYOFF:  In case of ties, there will be a three-hole playoff (cumulative net) for the overall championship.

Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions. Refunds will be issued if the GAM office is notified prior to the close of entries for that competition. After the entry deadline, fees will be refunded only in the event of injury or illness (with a verified doctor's note). There is a $20 processing fee applied to all refunds.
