This correspondence will verify your entry into the 15th Michigan Net Amateur at Country Club of Lansing on Monday, September 19 and Tuesday, September 20, 2016.  


TEE TIME: You should arrive at your assigned tee at least ten (10) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time for instructions from the starter.

2nd ROUND PAIRINGS:  Will be available via www.gam.org and via phone. A number will be posted on the scoreboard.

DIRECTIONS:  Take I-96 to 127 N to 496 W towards downtown Lansing. Take Exit 5 (Martin Luther King), go through the first light (northbound through MLK) to the second light (southbound MLK). Turn L, go over bridge, first street past bridge take a R (Moores River Dr.) stay R through the roundabout.  The club will be ¾ mile past the roundabout on your left.

Holiday Inn Express and Suites Lansing, 9490 Woodlane Dr. Dimondale, MI 48821. (517) 646-7000. Please identify yourself as a Golf Association of Michigan (GAM) participant to receive the group rate of $99 plus tax (King) or $109 plus tax (Double) (August 28 cutoff date).

 Call the pro shop directly at (517) 318-5219 to make arrangements for a practice round. Please identify yourself as a competitor in the 15th Michigan Net Amateur. The Men's Division will be playing yardages at or close to the posted yardage for the Moores Tees (White). The Senior Division will be playing yardages at or close to the posted yardage for the Grad Tees (Gold).

DMD's that measure distance only are allowed in this competition. If a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his/her play, AND USES IT FOR THOSE OTHER CONDITIONS the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is TWO STROKES for the first breach of this rule and DISQUALIFICATION for a subsequent breach during the stipulated round.  

FOOD:  There is a complimentary luncheon for players only following Monday’s round of golf.  The clubhouse will also have food available for purchase.

CADDIES/CARTS:  Automotive transportation is mandatory in this championship. NOTE: Only competitors may ride in a cart. There will be no caddies or spectator carts allowed. A maximum of 2 carts per group.

PRACTICE RANGE:  Complimentary for players on the day of the competition, prior to play only. The driving range will open one hour before the first tee time.

PLAYOFF:  In case of ties, there will be a three-hole playoff (cumulative net) for the division champions.  

WITHDRAWAL:  If you have to withdraw the night or weekend before, please contact the GAM office at (248) 478-9242. If you call after business hours, please leave a message on voice mail #124.  Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions.
