This correspondence will verify your entry into the GAM Women’s Senior Championship at Tullymore Golf Resort - Tullymore on August 29th & 30th, 2016

*The first round will be conducted by tee times; the second round will be a shotgun start.*


CHAMPIONSHIP YARDAGE: Available at www.gam.org, under Tournaments / GAM Championships / Women’s Championship / Women’s Senior – Course Setup.

DIRECTIONS: From Mt. Pleasant, take M-20 W to Remus (20 miles). Continue W on M-20 through Remus for 4 miles. Exit L at 9 Mile Rd. and continue W for 3 miles. Turn L at stop sign ( School Section Lake Campground)., following blacktop W ½ mile, then turn R at stop sign follow for ½ mile. At the Country Corner four way stop, take a L and proceed on Pierce Road to Tullymore, past the Canadian Lakes Campground on L.

LODGING: A block of rooms is available at the Tullymore Golf Resort under the name GAM Senior Women’s Tournament for a rate of $100/night. Call 1 (800) 972-4837 ext. 239 to make a reservation. The drop-dead date for the block is one-month prior to the tournament.

PRACTICE ROUND: Please contact the golf shop for rates and availability, (231) 972-4837.  Contestants must call in advance to reserve a tee time and identify themselves as GAM Women’s Senior Championship contestants.

GPS AND RANGE FINDERS: In this competition, a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance ONLY. However, if during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g., gradient, wind-speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is two strokes on the first offense and disqualification on any subsequent offense, regardless of whether any such additional functions are actually used.

CADDIES/CARTS: Use of motorized cart is mandatory for all players. Only two carts per group for players only.  

FOOD:  A complimentary lunch will be provided on both Monday and Tuesday.

PRACTICE RANGE: Complimentary for players prior to play on each day of the competition.  The driving range will be open one hour before the first tee time.

PLAYOFF: A tie for the Championship only will be determined by a sudden-death playoff immediately after the final scores have been posted.  All other ties will be broken by the scorecard playoff that is used and recommended by the USGA. It is the player’s responsibility to be ready to play when called to the tee.

PRIZES: Prizes will be awarded to the low gross and the low net finishers in each flight based on the total number of entries. The overall champion will have her name engraved on the Sara Wold Trophy.

WITHDRAWAL:  If you must withdraw, contact the GAM office at (248) 478-9242. If you call after business hours, please leave message on voice mail ext. 124. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions.
