This correspondence will verify your entry into the 13th Michigan Women’s Senior Amateur Championship at Saginaw Country Club on Wednesday and Thursday, June 29-30, 2016.
*Please be aware Wednesday’s Matches will begin in the Afternoon at 1:00pm.
TEE TIME: You should arrive at your assigned tee at least ten (10) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time for instructions from the starter. Tee times are located at www.gam.org.
DIRECTIONS: Take I-75 to Holland Ave. Go W off the exit. Holland Ave. will turn into M-46 (Gratiot Ave.), which will bring you to Saginaw CC. The club is about 6 miles west of I-75.

LODGING: A block of rooms has been reserved at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites - Saginaw, 2501 Tittabawasee Road, Saginaw, 48604. PRACTICE ROUND: Please contact Saginaw Country Club for availability. Call (989) 793-3461 and identify yourself as a Michigan Women’s Senior Amateur competitor. Practice round times are only available on June 25-26.
GPS AND RANGE FINDERS: In this competition, a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance ONLY. However, if during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g., gradient, wind-speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is two strokes on the first offense and disqualification on any subsequent offense, regardless of whether any such additional functions are actually used.
GAM DRESS CODE: Shirts with collars and sleeves are required; however women may wear collarless shirts with sleeves or sleeveless shirts with collars. Neither tank tops, tee shirts, short shorts, gym shorts, cut-offs, bathing suits nor denim pants/shorts are permitted. Players are expected to adhere to the dress code.
FOOD: The Clubhouse will have food available to purchase. Complimentary lunch will be served between rounds on June 30th for contestants only.
CADDIES/CARTS: All players are required to take a cart. Only two carts per group. Caddies are not permitted during any phase of the Championship. Carts are not permitted for spectators.
PRACTICE RANGE: Complimentary for players on the days of the competition, prior to play only. The driving range opens daily one hour before the first tee time.
WITHDRAWAL: If you must withdraw, contact the GAM office at (248) 478-9242. If you call after business hours, please leave message on voice mail #124. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
MATCH PLAY – USGA General numerical draw shall be used. The stipulated round shall be extended to as many holes as necessary for the match to be won.
