Championship Player Memo

GAM Tournament of Champions at Oakland Hills Country Club on Monday, October 13, 2014.  Men will play the South Course. Women will play the North Course.

INFORMATION

TEE TIME: You should arrive at your assigned tee at least ten (10) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time for instructions from the starter.

DIRECTIONS: Take I-696 to Telegraph Rd. Go N on Telegraph to Maple Rd. Go E on Maple ½ mile to entrance.

PRACTICE ROUND:  Please contact the golf shop for rates and availability of practice rounds - (248) 433-0674. Contestants must call in advance to reserve a tee time and identify themselves as GAM Tournament of Champions contestants. Men will play the South Course. Women will play the North Course.

GPS AND RANGE FINDERS: In this competition, a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance ONLY. However, if, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect her play (e.g., gradient, wind-speed, temperature,etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional functions are actually used.

ONE BALL RULE: The One Ball Rule will be in effect for this championship.

FOOD: A continental breakfast will be available before the round for players only, and a lunch will be provided after the round. Other food and beverage may be purchased at the halfway house.

CADDIES/CARTS:  Automotive transportation is mandatory in this championship. NOTE: Only competitors may ride in a cart. There will be no caddies or spectator carts allowed.

PRACTICE RANGE:  Complimentary for players on the day of the competition, prior to play only.  Open one hour before the first tee time.

PLAYOFF: A playoff for the Championship will take place immediately after the final scores have been posted. It is the player’s responsibility to be ready to play when called to the tee.

WITHDRAWAL:  If you have to withdraw the night or weekend before, please contact the GAM office at (248) 478-9242. If you call after business hours, please leave a message on voice mail #24.  Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions.
