This correspondence will verify your entry into the Michigan Women’s Senior Amateur Championship on Tuesday-Wednesday, August 13-14, 2013.
TEE TIME: You should arrive at your assigned tee at least ten (10) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time for instructions from the starter.
DIRECTIONS: Take US-27 to M-20. Go W on M-20 to Mission Road/Business 27. Go N to E. River Road/ Turn left (W) on E. River Road and take to the club.
CLUB ADDRESS: 3686 E. River Road, Mt. Pleasant, MI 48858.
LODGING: A block of rooms has been reserved at the Mt. Pleasant Fairfield Inn. To make a reservation, please call (989) 775-5000 by July 29, 2013, to receive this rate ad identify yourself as a MI Senior Am contestant (GAM).
PRACTICE ROUND: Please contact Mount Pleasant Country Club for availability. Call (989) 772-1591 and identify yourself as a Michigan Women’s Senior Amateur competitor.
GPS AND RANGE FINDERS: In this competition, a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance ONLY. However, if, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g., gradient, wind-speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional functions are actually used.
GAM DRESS CODE: Shirts with collars and sleeves are required; however women may wear collarless shirts with sleeves or sleeveless shirts with collars. Neither tank tops, tee shirts, short shorts, gym shorts, cut-offs, bathing suits nor denim pants/shorts are permitted. Players and caddies are expected to adhere to the dress code.
FOOD: The Clubhouse will have food available to purchase. Complimentary buffet lunch will be served between rounds on Tuesday, August 13th for contestants only.
CADDIES/CARTS: All players are required to take a cart. Only two carts per group. Caddies are not permitted during any phase of the Championship. Carts are not permitted for spectators.
PRACTICE RANGE: Complimentary for players on the days of the competition, prior to play only. Range opens daily one hour before the first tee time.
WITHDRAWAL: If you must withdraw, contact the GAM office at (248) 478-9242. If you call after business hours, please leave message on voice mail #24. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
MATCH PLAY – USGA General numerical draw shall be used. The stipulated round shall be extended to as many holes as necessary for the match to be won.
Tuesday, August 13 AM -First round matches in all flights
Wednesday, August 14 AM - Semi-Final matches in all flights
AM – Four-Ball competition (for those who lost their first match)
PM – Final matches in all flights
