Championship Player Memo
This correspondence will verify your entry into the GAM Senior Mid-Am Team at Oakland University Golf & Learning Center on Monday, May 21, 2012.

CHAMPIONSHIP YARDAGE: Available @ GAM.org, under Tournaments / GAM Championships / GAM Senior Mid-Am Team – Course Setup.

DIRECTIONS:  Take I-75 N to exit 79. Take University Drive E to Squirrel Road. Turn left (N) on Squirrel, and then right onto Walton Blvd. Turn right at Adams Road and then take the first entrance on the right. Follow through campus bearing left to the courses.

CLUB ADDRESS:  2200 N. Squirrel Road, Rochester, MI 48309.

Morning rounds SHOTGUN START -  8:30 AM (Katke) & 9:30 AM (Sharf)

Afternoon rounds will also be SHOTGUN STARTS

: A block of rooms has been reserved at the Crowne Plaza, 1500 Opdyke Rd.,Auburn Hills, for $89 plus taxes. You must call 248-373-4550 by Sunday, April 29th to make your reservation and identify yourself as a GAM Senior Mid-Am Team player.

PRACTICE ROUNDS: Please contact the golf shop for rates and availability, (248) 364-6300.  Contestants must call in advance to reserve a tee time and identify themselves as GAM Senior Mid-Am Team contestants.

GPS AND RANGE FINDERS: In this competition a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance ONLY. However, if, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g., gradient, wind-speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional functions are actually used.

FOOD:   A lunch will be served at the club between the two rounds.

Automotive transportation is mandatory for the Championship and is included in your entry fee. Carts are not permitted for spectators. No caddies will be allowed.   

PRACTICE RANGE: Opens one hour prior to the shotgun start and is complimentary for players, prior to play only

PLAYOFF: A tie for the Championship only will be determined by a sudden death playoff.  Ties for runner-up will be broken by scorecard playoff.

WITHDRAWAL:  If you must withdraw, contact the GAM office at (248) 478-9242. If you call after business hours, please leave message on voice mail #24.  Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions.
