GAM Women’s Championship at Gull Lake Country Club on Wednesday, July 13 and Thursday, July 14, 2011.
TEE TIME: You should arrive at your assigned tee at least ten (10) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time for instructions from the starter.
CADDIES: A player is prohibited from having a parent or guardian serve as her caddie during a stipulated round.
2ND ROUND PAIRINGS: Will be available via www.gam.org and via phone; a number will be posted on the scoreboard.
CHAMPIONSHIP YARDAGE: Available @ GAM.org, under Tournaments / GAM Championships / GAM Women’s Championship – Course Setup.
DIRECTIONS: Take I-94 to exit 80 (Sprinkle Road). Go N 5 miles to Gull Road. Go E on Gull Road into Richland. Turn left (N) on M-43 at the stop light. Go 2 miles to BC Avenue. Turn right on BC Avenue which becomes Gull Lake Road and follow about 1 ½ miles to the club.

PRACTICE RANGE: Complimentary for players on the day of the competition, prior to play only. Range will open one hour before the first tee time. A shuttle will run between the practice facility and the West Course. Please plan accordingly and allow yourself enough time to take the shuttle.

PRACTICE ROUNDS: Please contact the golf shop for rates and availability, (269) 629-9311. Contestants must call in advance to reserve a tee time and identify themselves as GAM Women’s Championship contestants.
GPS AND RANGE FINDERS: In this competition, a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance ONLY. However, if, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect her play (e.g., gradient, wind-speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional functions are actually used. A prohibited device shall include any cell phone or smart phone (e.g., i-phone, blackberry, etc.) capable of operating an application for yardage or other conditions of golf information
FOOD: A complimentary lunch will be available on both days of the competition after play.
CADDIES/CARTS: All players are required to walk. Contestants may carry their own bag or bring their own caddie. Caddies must also walk. Pull carts may be used if the club allows them.
PLAYOFF: A tie for the Championship only will be determined by a sudden-death playoff immediately after the final scores have been posted. All other ties will be decided by a method recommended by the USGA. This method states that we match cards to determine the winner based on the best score for the last nine holes. It is the player’s responsibility to be ready to play when called to the tee.
PRIZES: Prizes will be awarded to the low gross finishers in each flight. The overall low gross scorer will have her name engraved on the Betty Richart Trophy.
