Championship Player Memo
This correspondence will verify your entry into the GAM Women’s Senior Amateur Championship at Crystal Mountain Resort on August 30 and 31, 2010.

INFORMATION

CHAMPIONSHIP YARDAGE: Available at www.gam.org, under Tournaments / GAM Championships / Women’s Championship / Women’s Senior – Course Setup.

DIRECTIONS: Take I-75 north to US-10 West to M-115. Go west on M-115 for about 70 miles to Crystal Mountain Drive. Go west (L) on Crystal Mountain Drive.

CLUB ADDRESS: 12500 Crystal Mountain Drive, Thompsonville, MI 49683.

LODGING: To reserve a room at Crystal Mountain, call 1-800-968-7686. Use the GAM Women’s Senior Championship group number 45C8XC to receive the group rate of $139 plus 16% (sales tax, assessment, service fee). That rate is for a single/double hotel room.

PRACTICE ROUND: Contestants must call in advance to reserve a tee time and identify themselves as GAM Women’s Senior Amateur Championship contestants (231) 378-2623.

GPS AND RANGE FINDERS: In this competition, a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance ONLY. However, if, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect her play (e.g., gradient, wind-speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional functions are actually used.

The first round will be conducted by tee times; the second round will be a shotgun start.

CADDIES/CARTS: Use of motorized cart is mandatory for all players.

FOOD: A complimentary lunch will be provided on both Monday and Tuesday.

PRACTICE RANGE: Complimentary for players prior to play on each day of the competition. The range will be open one hour before the first tee time.

PLAYOFF: A tie for the Championship only will be determined by a sudden-death playoff immediately after the final scores have been posted. All other ties will be broken by the scorecard playoff that is used and recommended by the USGA. It is the player’s responsibility to be ready to play when called to the tee.

PRIZES: Prizes will be awarded to the low gross and low net finishers in each flight. The overall low gross scorer will have her name engraved on the Sara Wold Trophy.

WITHDRAWAL: If you must withdraw, contact the GAM office at (248) 478-9242. If you call after business hours, please leave message on voice mail #24. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions.
