Championship Player Memo
TEE TIME: You should arrive at your assigned tee at least ten (10) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time for instructions from the starter.

DIRECTIONS: Take I-94 to exit 80 (Sprinkle Road). Go N 5 miles to Gull Road. Go E on Gull Road into Richland. Turn left (N) on M-43 at the stop light. Go 2 miles to BC Ave. Turn right on BC Ave. which becomes Gull Lake Road, and follow about 1 ½ miles to the club.

CLUB ADDRESS: 9725 W. Gull Lake Drive, Richland, MI 49083.

LODGING: Clarion – 269-385-3922. A special room rate of $79.99 has been arranged for Sunday and Monday nights ONLY. If you need a room Saturday night, please start looking now. There is a large soccer tournament in town and rooms are scarce! When calling the Clarion, use the group code “Women’s Senior Amateur” to get the special rate. The cut off date for the special rate is June 13, 2010.

PRACTICE ROUND: Please contact Gull Lake Country Club for availability. Call (269) 629-9311 and identify yourself as a Michigan Women’s Senior Amateur competitor.
GPS AND RANGE FINDERS: In this competition, a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance ONLY. However, if, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g., gradient, wind-speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional functions are actually used.
GAM DRESS CODE: Shirts with collars and sleeves are required; however women may wear collarless shirts with sleeves or sleeveless shirts with collars. Neither tank tops, tee shirts, short shorts, gym shorts, cut-offs, bathing suits nor denim pants/shorts are permitted. Players and caddies are expected to adhere to the dress code.

FOOD: The Clubhouse will have food available to purchase. Complimentary buffet lunch will be served after play on Sunday, June 27th for contestants only.

CADDIES/CARTS: All players are required to take a cart. Only two carts per group. Caddies are not permitted during any phase of the Championship. Carts are not permitted for spectators.

PRACTICE RANGE: Complimentary for players on the days of the competition, prior to play only. Range opens daily one hour before the first tee time.

WITHDRAWAL: If you must withdraw, contact the GAM office at (248) 478-9242. If you call after business hours, please leave message on voice mail #24. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

STROKE PLAY - 18 hole stroke play to determine flights.

Sunday, June 27 18 holes, stroke play. A player whose handicap falls within the range of A and B flights but does not qualify for either flight will play in C Flight.

MATCH PLAY – USGA General numerical draw shall be used. The stipulated round shall be extended to as many holes as necessary for the match to be won.
Monday, June 28Quarterfinal and semifinal matches in all flights
Tuesday, June 29Final matches in all flights
