CHAMPIONSHIP YARDAGE: Available @ GAM.org, under Tournaments / GAM Championships / GAM Women’s Championship – Course Setup.

DIRECTIONS: Take I-96 to 127 North to the Trowbridge Rd. exit. Turn right on to Harrison Rd. The golf course and conference center entrance is located about one mile past Mt. Hope Rd on the right hand side.

CLUB ADDRESS: 3535 Forest Rd. Suite C88A, Lansing, MI 48910

PRACTICE RANGE: Complimentary for players on the day of the competition, prior to play only. Range will open one hour before the first tee time. A shuttle will run between the practice facility and the West Course. Please plan accordingly and allow yourself enough time to take the shuttle.

PRACTICE ROUNDS: Please contact the golf shop for rates and availability, (517) 355-1635. Contestants must call in advance to reserve a tee time and identify themselves as GAM Women’s Championship contestants. Practice rounds will be very limited August 6-8 and available after 1:00 p.m. only. Players are encouraged to arrange a practice round early to avoid any conflict.

GPS AND RANGE FINDERS: In this competition, a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance ONLY. However, if, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect her play (e.g., gradient, wind-speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional functions are actually used.

FOOD: A complimentary lunch will be available on both days of the competition after play.

CADDIES/CARTS: All players are required to walk. Contestants may carry their own bag or bring their own caddie. Caddies must also walk. Pull carts may be used if the club allows them.

PLAYOFF: A tie for the Championship only will be determined by a sudden-death playoff immediately after the final scores have been posted. All other ties will be decided by a method recommended by the USGA. This method states that we match cards to determine the winner based on the best score for the last nine holes. It is the player’s responsibility to be ready to play when called to the tee.

PRIZES: Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers overall. The overall low gross scorer will have her name engraved on the Betty Richart Trophy.

WITHDRAWAL: If you must withdraw, contact the GAM office at (248) 478-9242. If you call after business hours, please leave message on voice mail #24. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions.
