SUBJECT:1st GAM Senior Match Play Championship @ Port Huron Golf Club

This correspondence will verify your entry into the 1st GAM Senior Match Play Championship at Port Huron Golf Club on Monday through Thursday, June 1-4, 2009.

Please note your starting time and starting tee assignment from the enclosed pairing sheets. You should arrive at your assigned tee at least ten (10) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time for instructions from the starter.


DIRECTIONS: Take I-94 until it ends at M-25. Go left (N) on M-25 for 3 miles to Kraft Road. Go right on Kraft and take to Fairway Drive. Turn left on Fairway Drive.

Monday, June 1 – 18 holes, stroke play; the low 32 Senior Players qualify for Match Play & Low 16 qualify for Super Senior Match Play Division
Match Play: General numerical USGA draw shall be used.
The stipulated round shall be extended to as many holes as required for a match to be won.

Tuesday, June 2Morning – 16 Matches for Senior Division & 8 Matches for Super Senior Division
Tuesday, June 2 Afternoon – 8 Matches for Senior Division
Wednesday, June 3 Morning – 4 Matches for each Division
Wednesday, June 3 Afternoon – 2 Semi-Final Matches for each Division
Thursday, June 4Morning – Final Match for each Division

LODGING: Holiday Inn Express (810) 987-5999. Identify yourself as a GAM Senior Golfer to receive the special room rate of $69 plus tax. Reservations must be made by May 27, 2009 to receive this rate.

PRACTICE ROUND: Please contact the golf shop for rates and availability, (810) 385-3881. Contestants must call in advance to reserve a tee time and identify themselves as GAM Senior Match Play contestants.

FOOD: On Monday lunch will be provided for the players. The clubhouse will have food available for purchase on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

CADDIES/CARTS: Carts are mandatory for all players. Entry fee covers cart for the entire competition.

PRACTICE RANGE: Complimentary for players on the day of the competition, prior to play only. Open 7:00 a.m.

PLAYOFF: A sudden death playoff for the final spot(s) in both divisions will take place immediately after the final scores have been posted.

WITHDRAWAL: If you have to withdraw the night or weekend before, please contact the GAM office at (248) 478-9242. If you call after business hours, please leave message on voice mail #24. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions.
