This correspondence will verify your entry into the GAM Senior Four-Ball at Oakhurst Golf & Country Club on Monday-Tuesday, August 24-25, 2009.

Please note your starting time and starting tee assignment from the enclosed pairing sheets. You should arrive at your assigned tee at least ten (10) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time for instructions from the starter.

INFORMATION

CHAMPIONSHIP YARDAGE: Available @ GAM.org, under Tournaments / GAM Championships / GAM Senior Four-Ball – Course Setup.

DIRECTIONS: Take I-75 to exit 89 (Sashabaw Rd.) Go N on Sashabaw to Clarkston Rd. Turn right (E) on Clarkston and take to Clintonville Rd. Turn right (S) on Clintonville. The club is located on the E side of the road.

CLUB ADDRESS: 7000 Oakhurst Lane, Clarkston, MI 48348.

2nd Round Tee Times: The 2nd Round will be an 8:00 shotgun start for all groups.

LODGING: Holiday Inn Express & Suites, 3990 Baldwin Road, Auburn Hills, MI - (248) 322-7000. A block of rooms has been reserved at $94 plus tax for Sunday and Monday night during the Championship. You must identify yourself as a member of the “Golf Association of Michigan” and must reserve your room prior to July 24th.

PRACTICE ROUNDS: Please contact the golf shop for rates and availability, (248) 391-3900. Contestants must call in advance to reserve a tee time and identify themselves as GAM Senior Four-Ball contestants.

GPS AND RANGE FINDERS: In this competition a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance ONLY. However, if, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g., gradient, wind-speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional functions are actually used.

FOOD: A buffet lunch will be served at the club on both days of the competition.

CADDIES/CARTS: Automotive transportation is mandatory for both days of the Championship and is included in your entry fee. Carts are not permitted for spectators.

PRACTICE RANGE: Opens one hour prior to the first tee time on days of the competition and is complimentary for players on the day of the competition, prior to play only.

PLAYOFF: A tie for the Championship only will be determined by a sudden death playoff. Ties for runner-up will be broken by scorecard playoff.

WITHDRAWAL: If you must withdraw, contact the GAM office at (248) 478-9242. If you call after business hours, please leave message on voice mail #24. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions.
