SUBJECT:GAM Mid-Amateur Championship @ Boyne Resorts – Hills & Ross

This correspondence will verify your entry into the GAM Mid-Amateur Championship at Boyne Resorts on Thursday August 25 thru Friday August 26, 2008.

Please note your starting time, tee and course assignment from the enclosed pairing sheets. You should arrive at the tee at least ten minutes prior to your scheduled starting time for instructions from the starter.

Note: Pairings for round two will be based on round one scores with the lowest scorers teeing off last. All scorecards must be turned in at the main scoreboard.

REGISTRATION: Please make sure you check in at the cart staging area for breakfast and lunch vouchers for each day.

DIRECTIONS: I-75 to exit 310 (Indian River). Follow M-68 west to Alanson and junction of M-68 and US-131. Head south to Conway about 6 miles. Turn right at light to stop sign and turn right, proceeding 1.4 miles to Pleasantville Rd. Turn right and follow signs. (See map on opposite side)

LODGING: Call 1-800-Go-Boyne for room rates. Please specify when you call that you are a contestant in the GAM Mid-Amateur Championship in order to receive the special rate.

PRACTICE ROUND: Practice rounds are available one week prior to the competition. Arrangements can be made by calling the pro shop at (231)526-3029.

GPS AND RANGE FINDERS: In this competition, a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance ONLY. However, if, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g., gradient, wind-speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional functions are actually used.”

LATE TO TEE: Note under Rule 6-3 and Optional Condition as stated in Appendix I shall be in effect. All players must be present on the tee and ready to play at the time laid down by the Committee. The order of play is not relevant. See Decision 6-3a/2.

CADDIES/CARTS: Automotive transportation is mandatory. Cart fees are included in the Championship entry fee. Only Competitors may ride in a Cart. No spectators will be allowed to ride in carts. There will be a maximum of 2 carts per group. Caddies are not permitted.

FOOD: A complimentary continental breakfast will be available from 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and a buffet lunch will be available from 11:00am to 3:00pm both days for contestants only.

PRACTICE RANGE: Complimentary for players prior to play on the day of the competition. The range will be open by 7:00 a.m.
