Championship Player Memo
Please see your starting time and starting tee assignment from the enclosed pairing sheets. Please note that on the second day we will have a 9:00 a.m. shotgun, and you should be in your cart ready to head out by 8:30 a.m.


CHAMPIONSHIP YARDAGE: Available at, under Tournaments / GAM Championships / Women’s Championship / Women’s Senior – Course Setup.

DIRECTIONS: Take I-96 to US-31. The course is located S of Manistee, directly off US-31.

RESORT ADDRESS: 4797 US-31 S, Manistee, MI 49660.

LODGING: Manistee National Golf & Resort, 800-867-2604 or 231-398-0123.

PRACTICE ROUND: Contestants must call in advance to reserve a tee time and identify themselves as GAM Women’s Senior Amateur Championship contestants (231) 723-8874.

GPS AND RANGE FINDERS: In this competition, a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance ONLY. However, if, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect her play (e.g., gradient, wind-speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional functions are actually used.

CADDIES/CARTS: Use of motorized cart is mandatory for all players. Caddies must walk.

FOOD: A complimentary lunch Monday and Tuesday.

PRACTICE RANGE: Complimentary for players prior to play on each day of the competition. The range will be open at 8:00 a.m.

PLAYOFF: A tie for the Championship only will be determined by a sudden-death playoff immediately after the final scores have been posted. All other ties will be broken by the scorecard playoff that is used and recommended by the USGA. It is the player’s responsibility to be ready to play when called to the tee.

PRIZES: Prizes will be awarded to the low gross and low net finishers in each flight. The overall low gross scorer will have her name engraved on the Sara Wold Trophy.

WITHDRAWAL: If you must withdraw, contact the GAM office at (248) 478-9242. If you call after business hours, please leave message on voice mail #24. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions.
