GAM Tournament of Champions - Grosse Ile G&CCINFORMATION

TOURNAMENT DATE: Monday, October 3, 2022 

CHAMPIONSHIP YARDAGE: Available @ GAM.org, under Tournaments / GAM Championships / GAM Tournament of Champions – Projected Yardage. All yardage is projected and subject to change.

PRACTICE ROUND:  Please contact the golf shop for rates and availability, (734) 676-1169.  Contestants must call in advance to reserve a tee time and identify themselves as GAM Tournament of Champions contestants.

GPS & RANGE FINDERS: In this competition, if a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his/her play, AND USES IT FOR THOSE OTHER CONDITIONS, the player is in breach of Rule 4.3, for which the penalty is TWO STROKES for the first breach of this rule and DISQUALIFICATION for a subsequent breach during the stipulated round.

FOOD: A lunch will be served in the clubhouse. Other food and beverage may be purchased at the halfway house.

GAM DRESS CODE: Shirts with collars and sleeves are required; however, women may wear collarless shirts with sleeves or sleeveless shirts with collars.  Neither tank tops, tee shirts, short shorts, gym shorts, cut-offs, bathing suits nor denim pants/shorts are permitted.  Players and caddies are expected to adhere to the dress code.

CADDIES/CARTS: Automotive transportation is mandatory for this Championship and is included in your entry fee. Caddies are NOT permitted for this championship. Spectator carts are only permitted if a request, accompanied by a doctor’s note confirming the spectator’s need for a cart, is submitted to the GAM at least two days prior to the competition. Requests and doctor’s notes can be submitted to tournaments@gam.golf and doctor’s notes can also be faxed to (248) 478-5536 attn: GAM Tournament Dept.

PRACTICE RANGE: Range opens one hour prior to the Morning and Afternoon Shotgun starts and is complimentary for players on the day of the competition, prior to play only. 

PLAYOFF: A tie for the Champion will be broken by a hole-by-hole playoff.  All other ties will be broken using the USGA Tiebreaker Method.

WITHDRAWAL:  If you have to withdraw, please notify the GAM by e-mailing tournaments@gam.golf. If you must withdraw within 24 hours of the competition, please contact the GAM office at (248) 478-9242 ext. 124. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions.
