2nd GAM Two-Person Scramble - Oak Pointe CC (Championship)INFORMATION

TOURNAMENT DATE: Monday, Sept. 12 

SHOTGUN START: You should arrive at your assigned cart at least fifteen (15) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time for announcements.

DIRECTIONS: Take I-96 to exit 147 (Spencer). Take Spencer through Brighton to Club House Drive.

PRACTICE ROUNDS: Please contact the golf shop for rates and availability, (810) 227-9194.  Contestants must call in advance to reserve a tee time and identify themselves as GAM Two-Person Scramble participants. Rates and availability are at the discretion of the host facility.

GPS AND RANGE FINDERS: In this competition, if a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his/her play, AND USES IT FOR THOSE OTHER CONDITIONS, the player is in breach of Rule 4.3, for which the penalty is TWO STROKES for the first breach of this rule and DISQUALIFICATION for a subsequent breach during the stipulated round.

FOOD:   A complimentary lunch will be provided after the round. Players are responsible for all other food and beverage purchases.

CADDIES/CARTS: All players are required to ride. Caddies are not allowed.  Only competitors may ride in the players’ carts. Spectator carts are only permitted if a request, accompanied by a doctor’s note confirming the spectator’s need for a cart, is submitted to the GAM at least two days prior to the competition. SCRAMBLE PROCEDURE: Each player plays from the teeing area on each hole, one of the tee shots is selected and all the players play their second shots from that spot. One of the second shots is then selected, and all players play their third shots from that spot, and so on until the ball is holed.

HANDICAP CALCULATION: Handicap Indexes are established on the date most administratively practical for the GAM. Per World Handicap System recommendations, a team's handicap is calculated by combining 35% of the course handicap of the lower of the two course handicaps within a team and 15% of the course handicap of the higher of the two course handicaps within a team.

PRACTICE RANGE: Complimentary for players on the day of the competition, prior to play only. 

PLAYOFF: A tie for the Gross Champion will be decided by a hole-by-hole playoff. A tie for the Net Champion will be decided by a net three-hole aggregate playoff. All other ties are broken using the USGA Tiebreaker Method.

WITHDRAWAL:  If you must withdraw, please notify the GAM by e-mailing tournaments@gam.golf. If you must withdraw within 24 hours of the competition, please contact the GAM office at (248) 478-9242 ext. 124. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions.
