40th GAM Mid-Amateur Championship - The Highlands at Harbor Springs (Hills & Moor)INFORMATION

This tournament will be taking place on the Hills and Moor courses at The Highlands at Harbor Springs (formerly known as the Boyne Highlands Resort)

TOURNAMENT DATE: Wednesday, August 31 – Thursday, Sept. 1

TEE TIME: You should arrive at the tee at least ten minutes prior to your scheduled starting time for instructions from the starter.

REGISTRATION: Please make sure you check in at the cart staging area for your lunch vouchers for each day.

DIRECTIONS:  I-75 to exit 310 (Indian River).  Follow M-68 west to Alanson and junction of M-68 and US-31.  Head south to Conway about 6 miles.  Turn right at light to stop sign and turn right, proceeding 1.4 miles to Pleasantville Rd.  Turn right and follow signs.

LODGING: Call 1-800-Go-Boyne for room rates.  Please specify when you call that you are a contestant in the GAM Mid-Amateur Championship to potentially receive a special rate. Rates are subject to availability.

PRACTICE ROUND: Practice rounds are available one week prior to the competition. Arrangements can be made by calling the pro shop at (231) 526-3028.

GPS AND RANGE FINDERS: In this competition, if a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his/her play, AND USES IT FOR THOSE OTHER CONDITIONS, the player is in breach of Rule 4.3, for which the penalty is TWO STROKES for the first breach of this rule and DISQUALIFICATION for a subsequent breach during the stipulated round.

CADDIES/CARTS: Automotive transportation is mandatory. Cart fees are included in the Championship entry fee.  Only Competitors may ride in a Cart.  No spectators will be allowed to ride in carts. There will be a maximum of 2 carts per group.  Caddies are not permitted.

FOOD: A complimentary lunch is available both days for contestants only.  

PRACTICE RANGE: Complimentary for players prior to play on the day of the competition.  The range will be open by 7 a.m.

WITHDRAWAL: If you must withdraw, please notify the GAM by e-mailing tournaments@gam.golf. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions.
