2013 Handicap Certification Seminar Schedule

The GAM Handicap Department is pleased to announce the 2013 GAM/USGA Handicap Certification seminar series. As you are probably aware, the USGA has mandated that each course/club that administers the GAM/USGA Handicap System have at least one certified member by December 2015. These seminars are geared for anyone who wants to know more about the USGA Handicap System – from the novice to the well-seasoned veteran of the System.

Note: The Seminar is open to the Public

Reminder: PGA Members receive 4.0 CE hours for attending.

The seminars will consist of a PowerPoint presentation highlighting the content of the USGA Handicap System Manual. Major topics at each seminar will include:
  • Players competing from different tees
  • Adjusting hole scores and Equitable Stroke Control
  • The Handicap Committee and its responsibility
  • Handicap competitions and allowances
