The 88th GAM Championship will be held August 10th and 11th at Travis Pointe Country Club in Ann Arbor. Registrations for this event will be taken until June 18th. There will be five qualifiers held around the state to ensure adequate access to players no matter where they’re located. The field of 78 will be made up of those who have qualified and a list of exempt players. The first day of competition will see 36 holes, the final round will consist of the low 30 and ties competing to become the GAM Champion. Jimmy Chestnut captured the 87th edition of the GAM Championship in 2008 at Orchard Lake Country Club with a one stroke victory over 2007 champion, Steve Cuzzort of Grosse Ile.
